Naomi Worcester

Naomi Worcester is a wildlife biologist and the current manager of the Kure Atoll Field Station. She first visited Kure Atoll in the summer of 2010 and returned annually until the fall of 2020, during which time she served as a field camp leader. Naomi earned her Bachelor of Science in Botany from Portland State University. After graduating, she worked in remote field locations with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), UC Santa Barbara, and the National Park Service. Her research took her to various locations, including Alaska, Washington, Wyoming, and the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Northern California, before she ultimately settled in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands.
